Effort vs. Results: The Difference Between Trying and Getting It Done

Purpose, for Real Purpose Media, has two meanings.

Purpose for RPM clients….. defining “purpose” prior to adding “effort” is the key to success on all projects. If the purpose can’t be visualized and success can’t be measured, then the effort is often wasted. The first question in every project is, “What do we want to happen and how do we measure our success?” Once the purpose is defined, then we can get to work and use whatever media necessary to achieve success.

The Purpose of RPM…… RPM was influenced by a guy named Paul. Paul wasn’t just an ordinary guy… He was one of those guys that set visions and then stopped at nothing to achieve his goals. His purpose made him extraordinary. One of the many foundational philosophies that Paul modeled was his desire to help people…. a lot of people. His main desire was to volunteer his time and to dive deep into the needs, fears, and challenges of others. To do this, he needed to find a way to support himself first. He decided to make tents. He made a lot of tents.  He made big tents, small tents, tents for dry weather and tents for wet weather.  During the days, he would make and sell tents so that he could take care of himself and earn enough money to feed others. He worked hard to make the best possible tents he could so that his ability to do extraordinary things for others would continue to increase. RPM has been able to follow this model for almost ten years now. On an annual basis, RPM has successfully donated both time and resources to aide others. Although we are extremely proud of the “tents” we produce, the final outcome is what really makes us smile. These trips have included the delivery of food and medical aide to Haiti after the catastrophic earthquakes, delivery of Christmas trees and gifts to families that were losing hope.  RPM also provides leadership to groups providing life saving structure to the poorest communities around the world.
